What eighteen months does.
BeforeAfterTwo Bethlehem back yards. On the left, one we are about to start: a leaning timber wall, a fence line of weeds and a lawn that never dries out. On the right, one we finished two summers ago, planted the same way. The wall is board-formed concrete, the levels are sorted, and the fence has disappeared behind the planting.
How we work

We start with the site, not a catalogue
Which way the wind comes from, where the water goes, what the soil is actually like. Half of what makes a garden work is decided before anything is drawn.

You get a plan you can read
A planting plan with names on it, a levels plan and a price. You can build it with us, in stages, or take the plan to somebody else. That is your call and it does not offend us.

We come back
Every garden we plant gets a visit in its first spring and again the following autumn, because the first two years decide what the next twenty look like.
The best gardens look like nobody designed them.
